We are thrilled to announce that ERICA is back on the water once again!
After a long but necessary refit our much-loved and vital asset to the Harbour – ERICA – is once again fully operational and actively carrying out pilot boat duties and dredging operations.
Following extensive repairs and upgrades, and a brand new fresh coat of paint, she has now been re-certified under the new Workboat Code 3 and is ready for many more years of service.
It has been quite the project with some unexpected surprises discovered along the way – as anyone who owns a boat will understand.
Thanks to the hard work of our dedicated team, especially that of our Marine Engineer, John, she is back on the water in time for us to open her to the public at the upcoming Waterfront Festival!
There’s no rest for the weary though as she’s being put straight back to work, with several dredging tasks and other commercial jobs already lined-up for the remainder of the year.
We are sure that you’ll all enjoy seeing her out and about again as much as we are enjoying being back on board her.
