Arundel Festival Duck Race – 31st August 2026
MARINERS ARE ADVISED the annual ‘Duck Race’ will take place in Arundel on Monday 31st August 2026 as part of the Arundel Festival. The race will take place from the Queen Street Bridge (“Old Road Bridge” pictured below) in the centre of town to the A27 bridge ~500m downstream.
The race will take place between 16.15 and 17.30
There will be lots of small plastic ducks released, all ducks will be recovered to avoid pollution of the marine environment.
The ducks should not be considered a hazard to navigation and vessels may proceed as normal, however particular caution is requested when overtaking or passing the Safety Boat and the four canoeists recovering ducks. The safety boat will be monitoring VHF Channel 71.
