MARINERS ARE ADVISED that further to all previous COVID-19 Local Notice to Mariners, we have now received updated guidance from the UK government. The ‘Using a boat inland and on the coast’ guidance issued on 11th June by DEFRA (and detailed in Local Notice 12 of 2020) has now been withdrawn.
There are now no government restrictions specific to boating from 4th July, subject to all the relevant government COVID-19 guidance being followed. This includes skippered charter and passenger boat operations, as well as those wishing to stay overnight on their boats.
Mariners should check and fully cooperate with their mooring operator’s latest policies.
The Town Quay visitors’ pontoon and toilet/shower facilities adjacent to the Harbour Office will remain closed to recreational users until such time that a further Local Notice to Mariners is issued.
